About

PROGRESS (Protein-Graphene Electronic Sensor System) is a graphene based bio-chip that can electronically detect specific proteins in a patient sample such as blood, serum, urine, etc. PROGRESS is being developed as a reader/cartridge diagnostic device, with a first application to diagnose early stage Lyme disease. The end product will be faster, cheaper, more accurate, and several orders of magnitude more sensitive than current methods, enabling early detection of diseases and enabling earlier treatment with a greater chance of success. PROGRESS can also be easily configured for protein manufacturing and quality measurements, helping antibody manufacturers and researchers measure and refine their own products at a fraction of the cost of current tools.
