We design and manufacture telepresence robots. Telepresence robots incorporate video conferencing equipment with motorized platforms which can be controlled from remote locations. Working with and alongside robots is a global, rapidly escalating trend, with many advantages, including cost savings, improved communications and increased productivity. It has been forecast that the telepresence robot market will be over $374 Million by 2019. Telepresence robots are now being used in hospitals and offices and have recently been seen on popular television shows and commercials. Our is targeted for home health care of the elderly. Telepresence is about the sense of being in another environment. In particular, robotic telepresence offers the means to connect to a remote location via traditional video conference with the added value of moving and actuating in that location. Orbis Robotics Inc. has already designed and begun manufacturing two telepresence robots (“Teleporter” and “CARL”).
