Factory Telepresence Robot - Bringing engineers to the heart of manufacturing. This robot is a drive-able video teleconference where the person logged onto the robot has full control of where it is looking and where it goes. This robot (one of four we have conceived) has unique features that are attractive to companies with remote manufacturing facilities. It makes it possible for a manager or engineer to be on the factory floor in one part of the world from the desk here in the USA. Giving them the same abilities to participate in problem solving and operator training as they would have had they actually jumped on an airplane and flown to that factory, The robot was introduced at the Chicago Design and Manufacturing Expo last September and generated a lot of excitement from midwest manufacturers. This show confirmed our believe that there is a need for a robot of this type and that companies see its value.
