My company, TagHunt, is developing a high-tech treasure hunt platform to help location-based mobile gamers explore the world through innovative quests designed by local hosts with NFC tags* and smartphones. With easy-to-use TagHunt online console, the hosts (i.e. people who create the quest) can simply drag and drop on the host website to design the quest and customize the multi-media contents for each tag. After the host receives the actual TagHunt tags and deploys them to the target destinations, the participants (i.e. people who use TagHunt Android application to join the quest) can find and tap on the tags one-by-one to enjoy the story, solve the puzzles, and complete the quest with their smartphones. *NFC tags transmit information across a short distance without the need of batteries, and they often look like tokens or stickers.
